The Traditional season opener for the British Calender was met with some very good weather none of the rain or snow that has greated previous years editions. THe Cold weather had made for some icy corners, but a late start and some quick work from the organisers meant that there was a safe course to racing on but meant they had to drop one lap to keep in the time they had.

The shorter race meant the bunch was likely to stick together until the last lap and a big attack on the climb or forestside. This did not stop people trying to get away, serveral small groups tried and most laps went by with at least one rider just of the front of bunch, but soon to be reeled in.

The decisive attack came from William Bjergfelt (Sports Beans/Willer) on the far side of the course, dragging another small group left between him and the bunch.

The only thing to interrupt the was a horse that has somehow made its way onto the course which did interrupt the bunch but not the leader or the first chasers.

Bjergfelt had enough of a gap to comfortably start celebrating the win to cross the line with him arms aloft
